Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 29, 2026
These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your use of Future 1 Gateway™(“F1G”, “we”, “us”), operated by Future Stars Network and previously known under that name — a platform that connects high school athletes with college coaches and scouts. Because many of our users are minors, these Terms place special emphasis on age requirements, parental permission, and community safety. Please read them carefully — by creating an account or using F1G you agree to be bound by them.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By registering for, accessing, or using F1G, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our data practices described below. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a minor as their parent or legal guardian, you agree to them both on your own behalf and on behalf of that minor.
2. Eligibility & Age Requirements
- Under 13: F1G is not available to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we will terminate the account and delete its data.
- Ages 13–17 (minors): You may only create and use an F1G account with the knowledge and verifiable permission of your parent or legal guardian, as described in Section 3. Your parent or guardian must review these Terms with you before you register.
- 18 and over: You may register on your own behalf. Coach accounts may only be created by adults aged 18 or over who are affiliated with a legitimate athletic program, and we may require verification of that affiliation at any time.
You agree to provide accurate information about your age and identity at registration and to keep it accurate. Misrepresenting your age is a material breach of these Terms and grounds for immediate account termination.
3. Parental Permission & Guardian Responsibilities
3.1 Consent required for minors
A minor (13–17) may only use F1G if their parent or legal guardian (“Guardian”) has given permission for them to do so. By allowing a minor in your care to create or use an F1G account, you, the Guardian, represent that you are that minor’s parent or legal guardian, that you have reviewed and accepted these Terms, and that you consent to the collection, use, and public display of the minor’s profile information as described in Section 5. We may take reasonable steps to verify Guardian consent — including confirmation email, signed consent forms, or identity checks — and may suspend an account until verification is complete.
3.2 Guardian oversight rights
A Guardian of a minor account holder may at any time:
- review the personal information F1G holds about the minor;
- request corrections to, or deletion of, the minor’s information;
- change the minor’s profile visibility (public / hidden);
- revoke consent and require the account to be closed and its data deleted.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us as described in Section 14. Revoking consent will end the minor’s access to the platform.
3.3 Guardian responsibilities
Guardians are responsible for supervising the minor’s use of F1G, including the content the minor posts and the communications the minor has on the platform. We strongly encourage Guardians to participate in recruiting conversations and to be copied on communications with coaches.
4. Accounts & Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. One person per account — accounts may not be shared, sold, or transferred. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Athlete Profiles & Public Visibility
The purpose of F1G is to help athletes get discovered, which means athlete profiles marked “public” — including name, sport, position, school, graduation year, highlight film, stats, and general location — are visible to coaches, scouts, and visitors to the site. For minors, this public display only occurs with Guardian consent under Section 3.
Never post on any profile (yours or anyone else’s):
- a home address, precise location, or daily schedule;
- government ID numbers, financial information, or medical records;
- personal contact details (phone, personal email, social handles) of any minor in public profile fields.
Profile visibility can be changed to hidden at any time in account settings, and Guardians can require this for a minor’s account.
6. Communications Between Coaches & Athletes
Because F1G facilitates contact between adults and minors, the following rules are strictly enforced:
- All recruiting communication with a minor must occur through F1G’s messaging tools or with the minor’s Guardian included.
- Coaches may not ask a minor to move conversations to private, unmonitored channels, and may not request photos or information unrelated to legitimate athletic recruiting.
- Communications must at all times be professional and appropriate. Harassment, grooming behavior, romantic or sexual advances, or requests to conceal communications from a Guardian will result in immediate permanent bans and, where appropriate, reports to law enforcement.
- We may review, filter, or monitor on-platform communications involving minor accounts for safety purposes.
- Athletes and Guardians can report any inappropriate communication using the Report control in the inbox or by contacting us directly (Section 14).
7. Acceptable Use
The short version, in plain language, is in our Community Guidelines. In binding terms, you agree not to:
- impersonate any person, program, or institution, or misrepresent your age, role, or affiliation;
- post content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, or that exploits or endangers a minor in any way;
- collect, scrape, or harvest information about other users — especially minors — for purposes unrelated to legitimate athletic recruiting;
- upload film or images of other identifiable minors without appropriate permission;
- use the platform to offer improper inducements or to violate applicable athletic association rules;
- interfere with the operation or security of the platform.
8. Your Content
You (or, for minors, your Guardian) retain ownership of the content you post — film, photos, stats, and bio information. By posting it you grant F1G a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform. You can delete your content or your account at any time, which ends this license except for residual copies kept for legal compliance. You are responsible for having the rights to everything you upload.
9. Privacy & Children’s Data
We collect only the information needed to operate a recruiting platform: account details, profile and athletic information, and usage data. We handle minors’ personal information in accordance with applicable children’s privacy laws, including the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) framework for consent and parental access. We do not sell personal information of any user, and we do not serve targeted advertising to minor accounts. Data is retained only as long as an account is active or as required by law, and Guardians may exercise the access, correction, and deletion rights in Section 3.2 at any time. Full detail on what we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with is in our Privacy Policy.
10. Safeguarding & Reporting
If you believe a user is misrepresenting themselves, behaving inappropriately toward a minor, or that a child under 13 is using the platform, report it immediately using the Report control in the inbox, or the contact in Section 14. We investigate every report against the conversation as it stood when it was filed, and act on it — ranging from a restriction pending investigation to permanently closing an account — and cooperate with law enforcement and child-protection authorities where required. See our Community Guidelines for how reports are handled.
11. Recruiting & Eligibility Disclaimer
F1G is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, any state athletic association, or any school. We do not guarantee recruitment, scholarships, or athletic eligibility. Athletes and their families are responsible for understanding and complying with the recruiting and amateurism rules that apply to them.
12. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The platform is provided “as is” and “as available.” While we apply the safeguards described above, we cannot guarantee the conduct, identity, or claims of any user, and we disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, F1G’s total liability arising out of your use of the platform is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months or US $100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing restricts a minor’s or Guardian’s statutory rights.
13. Termination & Changes to These Terms
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, with immediate effect for safety-related violations. We may update these Terms from time to time; if we make material changes — especially changes affecting minors or parental rights — we will notify account holders (and Guardian contacts on file for minor accounts) and indicate the new “Last updated” date above. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance; for minor accounts, renewed Guardian consent may be required.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms, parental consent, or a minor’s account — or reports of safety concerns — can be sent to legal@future1gateway.com. Guardians exercising their rights under Section 3.2 should include the athlete’s name and the email on the account.
