Community Guidelines

The short version of how to behave on Future 1 Gateway™— written for the athletes, coaches, and parents who actually use it, not as a legal document. It doesn’t replace our Terms & Conditions, which is the binding version — this is the plain-language read.
1. Your Profile
- Use your real name and accurate information — sport, position, school, graduation year. Coaches make real decisions based on it.
- Don’t impersonate another person, program, or school, and don’t misrepresent your age or role.
- Keep your address, phone number, personal email, and social media handles out of public profile fields — recruiting conversations happen through F1G’s messaging, not by handing out personal contact info.
- You (or your Guardian, if you’re a minor) can switch your profile to hidden at any time in account settings.
2. Film & Photos
- Only upload highlight film, photos, and stats you have the right to share.
- Don’t post film or photos of other identifiable minors without their (or their Guardian’s) permission.
- Keep content appropriate — no sexually explicit, violent, or hateful material, anywhere on the platform.
3. Messaging Coaches & Athletes
Because F1G connects adults and minors, messaging has real rules, not just etiquette:
- Keep recruiting conversations with a minor on F1G’s messaging, or include their Guardian — never move to an unmonitored private channel.
- Stay professional. No romantic or sexual comments, no requests for photos unrelated to athletics, no asking a minor to keep a conversation secret from their Guardian.
- Coaches must have a verified account (see the badge next to a coach’s name in your inbox) before messaging athletes.
- If a conversation feels off in any way, trust that instinct and report it — see Section 5.
4. What’s Not Allowed
Anywhere on F1G, don’t:
- harass, bully, or threaten another user;
- impersonate someone, or misrepresent your age, role, or affiliation;
- post or send hateful, discriminatory, or sexually explicit content;
- make romantic or sexual advances toward a minor, or ask a minor to hide a conversation from their Guardian;
- collect, scrape, or harvest other users’ information for anything unrelated to legitimate recruiting;
- spam, scam, or offer improper recruiting inducements that violate athletic association rules;
- create a new account to get around a restriction or a closed account.
5. Reporting Something
If you see or receive anything that breaks these guidelines, open the conversation in your inbox and use the Report button next to the person’s name. That sends your report — with the conversation attached, exactly as it stood at that moment — straight to our safety team. The person you report is never notified that you reported them. You can also email legal@future1gateway.com directly for anything urgent or unrelated to a specific conversation.
6. What Happens After a Report
Every report is reviewed by our safety team. Depending on what we find:
- Restricted: the account is blocked from sending messages while we investigate, and sees a prompt to contact support.
- Closed: for serious or repeated violations, the account loses access to messaging and the dashboard entirely.
- No action needed: if a report doesn’t show a violation, nothing happens to the account.
For anything illegal, or that endangers a minor, we cooperate with law enforcement and child-protection authorities. Full detail on how we handle personal information during this process is in our Privacy Policy.
