Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Future 1 Gateway™(“F1G”, “we”, “us”) collects, why we collect it, and what rights you and — where a user is a minor — their parent or legal guardian have over it. It should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions, which governs age requirements and guardian consent in more detail.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 What you give us
- Account details: name, email address, and password (stored and authenticated by our infrastructure provider — we never see or store your password in plain text).
- Profile & athletic information: display name, username, bio, location, sport, position, school, graduation year, stats, and links to highlight film you choose to add.
- Coach program information: program name, title, division, and the email domain used to verify affiliation with a school or organization.
- Messages: the content of direct messages you send through F1G’s inbox.
- Payment information (coach accounts only): if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe — we receive confirmation that payment succeeded, never your full card number.
1.2 What we collect automatically
Standard technical information needed to operate and secure the platform — timestamps, general device and browser information, and the pages and features you use. We do not use this to build advertising profiles, and we do not run third-party ad-tracking scripts.
2. How We Use Information
- to operate your account and display your profile as you’ve configured its visibility;
- to power search, discovery, and the coach recruiting board;
- to deliver messages between connected users;
- to review reports of inappropriate behavior and enforce our Community Guidelines;
- to verify coach affiliation with a school or program;
- to process payment for coach subscriptions, where applicable;
- to comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not serve targeted advertising to any user — minor or adult.
3. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)
F1G is not available to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Athletes aged 13–17 may only use F1G with a parent or legal guardian’s verifiable consent, as described in Terms & Conditions Section 3. That Guardian may, at any time and free of charge:
- review the personal information we hold about the minor;
- request corrections to it;
- request its deletion;
- change the minor’s profile between public and hidden;
- revoke consent entirely, which closes the account and deletes its data.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us as described in Section 8. We handle minors’ personal information under the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) framework for consent and parental access.
4. Who We Share Information With
- Other users: profile fields marked “public” are visible to coaches, scouts, and visitors browsing the site, exactly as described in Terms Section 5. Direct messages are visible only to their sender and recipient, and to our safety team if reported.
- Service providers: infrastructure and database hosting, and Stripe for payment processing — each only has the access it needs to provide its service to us, under its own confidentiality obligations.
- Legal & safety: law enforcement or child-protection authorities where required by law, or to investigate a safety report.
- Business transfers: if F1G were ever acquired or merged, personal information may transfer as part of that deal, subject to this Policy’s protections continuing to apply.
We never sell personal information to anyone, for any purpose.
5. Data Security
Access to personal information in our database is restricted by row-level security policies scoped to each account’s own data, and traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we treat safeguarding minors’ data as a first-class requirement, not an afterthought.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, or a Guardian revokes consent for a minor’s account, we delete the associated personal information except for residual copies we’re required to keep for legal compliance (for example, records of a safety report).
7. Your Choices
- Switch your profile between public and hidden at any time in account settings.
- Delete your account at any time, which removes your personal information as described in Section 6.
- Guardians of a minor account have the additional rights listed in Section 3.
Essential cookies and local storage keep you signed in and remember basic preferences — we don’t use them to track you across other sites, and there’s nothing to opt out of because we don’t run third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
8. Contact & Changes to This Policy
Questions about this Policy, or requests under Section 3 or 7, can be sent to legal@future1gateway.com. If we make material changes — especially changes affecting minors or parental rights — we will notify account holders (and Guardian contacts on file for minor accounts) and update the “Last updated” date above.
